  • Author of A Lairdship Lost - the Mowats of Balquholly, 1309-1736; Registers of the Secession Churches and Parish Registers in the Kirk Session Records of the Church of Scotland.
  • Member of the Association of Scottish Genealogists and Researchers in Archives.

Please note that at present I am not undertaking any in-depth research, but concentrating on undertaking:
  • Historical and Genealogical Research undertaken in the Historical Search Room at the National Records of Scotland (On the 1 April 2011, the National Archives of Scotland merged with the General Register Office for Scotland (home of the ScotlandsPeople centre) to become the National Records of Scotland (NRS).
  • Transcriptions of older Scottish documents (16th century onwards), such as testaments (wills), sasines (records of property), deeds etc. including those written in Secretary Hand.
  • Translation in summary of Latin sasines.
