I. For the purpose of this policy:
- genealogyPro refers to the owner of the genealogyPro.com and genealogyPro.co.uk domains and all associated web site development, advertising and marketing services. It also includes all of its associates, any and all third parties that participate in the delivery of genealogyPro service such at its web site hosting service or software developers.
- Client or clients refer to individuals and companies who are provided a service by genealogyPro. It includes both trial and paid subscribers.
- User or users refer to any party, other than genealogyPro or clients, who views or otherwise uses the services or information contained within the genealogyPro.com or genealogyPro.co.uk domains.
II. Conditions:
- genealogyPro is in no way, implied or otherwise, responsible for the content of web sites linked from pages within the genealogyPro.com or genealogyPro.co.uk domains, but resident elsewhere. genealogyPro staff do, however, review all links for suitability at the time of initial inclusion. Determination of suitability is at the sole discretion of genealogyPro and based upon compatibility with the genealogy services theme. Upon discovery that the content of any site renders it unsuitable for hypertext linking, such links will be removed.

genealogyPro is in no way, implied or otherwise, responsible for the manner in which its clients represent themselves or conduct their respective services. genealogyPro does not demand any credentials of its clients, or that they hold any specific accreditation. Users of services advertised on the genealogyPro web site are urged to confer with clients to ensure they fully understand the conditions of the service being provided and their associated costs.

Clients accept that information published on their genealogyPro web page is broadcast to the Internet community by way of submissions to search engine databases and other directories. Associations with this web page, by way of hypertext links and narrative descriptions of the client's services, may reside on such databases and directories after the expiration of a trial or paid subscription. Clients accept that genealogyPro is not responsible for the removal of such associations, listings or entries. They will typically expire within one to six months.

Clients agree that genealogyPro is not liable for any monetary loss or encumbrance resulting from inaccurate information posted on client web pages. Clients are advised to check their pages for accuracy after initial posting, and after any subsequent updates.

Clients agree that genealogyPro is not liable for any monetary loss or encumbrance resulting from technical difficulties rendering client web pages unavailable for viewing by users. Such conditions may arise from time to time and are beyond the control of genealogyPro.

Clients agree that genealogyPro is not liable for any monetary loss or encumbrance resulting from hacking, illegal server access, or criminal acts done by unauthorized persons.
III. Client - User Relations:

genealogyPro expects that clients represent themselves and the nature of their services in an honest and forthright manner. Evidence of failure to do so will exclude a client from entering into future agreements with genealogyPro for advertising or any other service. genealogyPro recommends the Code of Ethics published by the Board for Certification of Genealogists as a guide to all clients. It further reccomends that clients adhere to the Genealogical Standards and Guidelines as outlined by the National Genealogical Society.

Users are reminded that payments for research services provided by clients must be made even if such services fail to provide the user's desired result. The outcome of research cannot be foretold with complete assurance. The client is obliged, however, to provide details of sources searched.

In situations of conflict between client and user, genealogyPro will try to mitigate a solution acceptable to both parties. It does not, however, make any assurance to either party that such a solution will be acceptable to them, or that an acceptable solution can be reached.
