Find Our Roots are specialists in South West England history and are members of both Cornwall and Devon Family History Societies. However we can trace your families roots anywhere in the world. Where we are unable to visit local record offices we have a database of fellow genealogists only too willing to help us, help you.

Services

We offer a wide range of services. Most of our clients require full and comprehensive research into their family history. We are happy to do the small jobs too, such as tracking down that elusive record, a marriage, birth ,death etc) to that has held you back. Newcomers to family history who want help getting started with their new hobby are also welcome.

I have access to GRO birth/marriage/death records for the UK, Uk census 1841-1901, parish registers, memorial inscriptions, local history sources for Devon and Cornwall, wills, quarter session records and newspaper articles.

I can trace your family tree back from you or a named relative, I can provide documents to support my reports, I can visit graveyards and places your ancestors lived to take location photographs and so much more please ask.

I can perform a no obligation search (15minutes) before you commit to purchasing my services.

Fees

We offer a wide range of services to fit every budget. Our hourly rate is a competitive £10.00 (book more than 4 hours of research and only pay £15.00 for the first 2 hours) for research and write up within the UK. For international research please conatct us for our rates
