I am a professional genealogist specialising in Anglo-Jewish research and, in particular, the Jews of the City and East End of London, and the Greater London area.
Experience:
- Detailed knowledge of Anglo-Jewish History, Jewish communities, Anglo-Jewish records (both religious and civil) and local geography.
- Speaker on Anglo-Jewish genealogy topics at genealogy conferences.
- Articles published in genealogical journals relating to Anglo-Jewish genealogy.
Memberships:
- Member of the Association of Professional Genealogists;
- Member of the Council of the Jewish Genealogical Society of Great Britain (JGSGB); and
- Member of the Society of Genealogists.
Services
I offer Anglo-Jewish genealogy research, family tracing, heir search, and records lookup services (from 1656 to the present day). This includes England, Wales and Scotland.
As I live near London, I am able to personally research at archives including:
- Public Records Office, Kew
- Family Records Centre, Islington
- Guildhall Library (mainly for City of London and insurance records)
- London Metropolitan Archives
- Library of the Society of Genealogists (including the specialist Hyamson, Mordy and D'Arcy Hart Anglo-Jewish genealogy collections)
- Library of the Jewish Genealogical Society of Great Britain
- British Library
- Family History Library, South Kensington
- Bishopsgate Institute Library.
I can also travel to archives outside London if appropriate.
