A Genealogical Overview of the National Archives, Kew
Professional Military-Historical Researcher and Record Agent:I provide search and research services for a wide spectrum of clients throughout the world who seek specialised information from records held by the National Archives at Kew where I am registered in their independent researcher lists. Residing very centrally in London also enables me to service other main London repositories such as the London Metropolitan Archive, The Guildhall Library and the British Library, including the Asia & Pacific Collections (formerly called the Oriental & India Office Collections), to name a few. I handle some of the finest biographical and historical records in Europe which are of great value to academic researchers and family historians alike. However, due to the difficult work-mix, I am generally unable to offer the supply of certificates of birth, death and marriage or census searches although I can provide assistance where these are necessary as a part of an overall commission. You can obtain a better idea of the range of subjects Fee Information:I operate in a fee range of £20 - 30 per hour dependent on subject plus copies and postage. Some cases are charged at fixed rates. I can accept Sterling drafts payable at London. Alternatively, foreign currency cheques or card remittances via Paypal both subject to handling. Clients are always given a clear estimation of costs. Most searches are completed in 2-6 hours but some go on for weeks or months. The majority of commissions are completed promptly within 7-14 days but where delays might occur I ensure that updates are transmitted.
