• Full time researcher in genealogy since 2002, part time for many years prior.
• Continuing education over several areas ranging from census work to immigration & naturalization to the European countries of my heritage.
• Having researched my own family in the Michigan and New York areas for many years, having recently started some overseas research.

Services

I offer minimal to extensive family history research on an hourly basis with flexibility to handle special situations on a case by case basis.  My research experience comes mainly from work in Michigan, New York, the Midwest and the Northeast with my area of specialty being Ohio.

Fees

My research fee is $25.00 per hour plus expenses, which are kept to a minimum.  I charge an initial retainer fee of $60.00 which includes 3 hours of research.  All clients are offered a free consultation where I ask for a summary of their research previously done and the ultimate goal of the current research they wish to do.  After reviewing this information, a strategy is put together demonstrating the ways to obtain their goal and how likely this would be.  Only after the strategy is agreed upon by both parties is the retainer required for the actual research to begin.  I have found this process makes for more realistic expectations on both sides while giving the client better results in the end.
